A story that began in 1965
Our family tradition in hospitality began in Barcelona in 1965, with Mrs Teresa Morales. From the beginning there was one simple idea that still guides us today: to offer a peaceful place to rest and welcome every guest with genuine care.
More than 60 years have passed and Barcelona has changed enormously. The way people travel has changed too. What we have wanted to preserve is something much simpler: that everyone who stays with us feels there are real people on the other side, not a hotel chain.
Today Dragonfly BCN continues that family tradition with a modern outlook. We do not want to resemble a large hotel. We prefer to remain a small, simple guesthouse with character, where it still matters to know who is arriving, offer personal attention and make every guest feel comfortable from the first moment.
More than six decades later, we still believe hospitality is found in the small details: a warm welcome, an honest recommendation and a peaceful place to return to after exploring Barcelona.
Today we welcome travellers from all over the world with the same spirit: rest well, feel looked after and discover Barcelona from the inside, at your own pace and with the city just a few steps from the door.

Barcelona begins as soon as you step outside: historic streets, squares, markets and some of the city most iconic sights are just a few minutes away on foot.
Walk through the Gothic Quarter
Stroll past the Cathedral, lose yourself in the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter and continue towards El Born, the Picasso Museum and Santa Maria del Mar.
Local tip: look for the columns of the ancient Temple of Augustus, hidden very close to the Cathedral.

On our very street you will find the Palau de la Musica Catalana. On the way to the Cathedral you can stop at the historic Els 4 Gats.

From Dragonfly BCN you can start at the Palau de la Musica, continue to Els 4 Gats and keep walking through the historic centre. It is an easy way to combine architecture, history and a pleasant stroll without relying on transport.
